When Did Women Start Golfing?
The earliest game of golf to be recorded was in 15th century Scotland in the year of 1764. The original 18 hole golf course was founded at St Andrews. As in the old days the sport was controlled by men and women were not welcome to participate in this amazing sport. Later once it became accepted in society for women to participate the first women's 18 hole tournament was held in 1811. That was a long 47 years before men and women could enjoy the sport. So just remember its not just a solo sport or business sport grab your loved ones/friends and go out to hit some greens!
